The AI & Robotics Lab
for CBSE Schools.

Grades 3 to 8. NEP 2020 & NCF SE 2023 aligned. Built to run for years, not weeks.

Four kits, one structured pathway — Junior Construction Kit (Grade 3), Grobots Primo (Grades 3–5), Ultima Lite (Grade 6), and Grobots Ultima (Grades 7–8). Micro:bit V2 with AI Vision, multi-platform coding (MakeCode, Python, MIT App Inventor, Teachable Machine), and 130 grade-wise activities. Grobots is a brand of S A Digital — a GeM Quality Assessed Vendor whose kits are designed and manufactured in India — and is implemented by AVM Infotech, a team that has deployed 500+ labs and trained 650+ teachers across India. Bhavans Nagpur runs the AI Lab across all 6 of its campuses.

More Than a Robotics Kit.
A Complete AI Lab Program.

"Other vendors give you a kit and a manual. Grobots gives you the full system — kits per grade, video for every lesson, training, course books, and competitions — all built to run year after year."

It's a structured K-8 program, not a one-off purchase — a different kit for each stage, from mechanical building in Grade 3 to full AI projects in Grade 8, each with its own activities and outcomes, aligned to NEP 2020 and NCF SE 2023.

Most school robotics labs collapse in Year 2. This one was built to compound — which is why Bhavans Nagpur went from one campus to all six.

Questions Principals Ask
Before They Start.

Students can start as early as Grade 3 with mechanical building and block coding — no prior experience needed, for students or teachers. The pathway adds text-based Python and AI only as students are ready, so a class beginning in any grade can join at the right point.
CBSE AI Code 417 (Grades 9–10) and Code 843 (Grades 11–12) are optional elective subjects schools may choose to offer — they're not mandates. The Grobots AI Lab covers Grades 3 to 8 and builds the foundational AI, computational thinking, MicroPython, and Teachable Machine competencies students need to take up Code 417 confidently in Grade 9 if their school decides to offer it. The lab's own compliance alignment is to NEP 2020 and NCF SE 2023.
Grades 3–6 (Junior Construction Kit, Primo, Ultima Lite) are engineered for a 40-minute ICT period — setup, activity, cleanup all included. Grades 7–8 (Ultima) are designed for the 80-minute STEM lab block — the standard CBSE secondary-school lab format. Schools without 80-min slots can continue using Ultima Lite through Grade 8 with adapted activities.
Yes — this is exactly what Grobots is designed for. The Virtual Master Trainer (vmt.grobotsacademy.com) provides step-by-step video guidance for every one of the 130 activities, in English and Hindi, with more Indian languages rolling out. Grobots is implemented by AVM Infotech, whose team has trained 650+ teachers across India to run hands-on robotics labs with no prior robotics background.
Most schools do. Skip the optional IT Infrastructure module. Grobots kits work on any existing Windows PC, Chromebook, Android tablet, or Raspberry Pi the school already has. All coding tools are free and open-source — no licence fees, no subscriptions.
The AI Lab is a one-time investment for the core program. Year-1 telephonic and on-call support is included. From Year 2, an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) is available at competitive school-friendly rates (typically 20% of equipment cost) — covering repairs, replacements, and continued VMT access. Most schools renew and many expand to additional grade levels.
The AI & Robotics Lab is focused on AI, robotics, and computational thinking for Grades 3–8 — preparing students for CBSE Code 417 (Grades 9-10) as an optional elective. The Composite Skills Lab is the CBSE Circular 75/2024 mandatory multi-domain lab covering Three Forms of Work (Life Forms, Machines & Materials, Human Services) — required for every CBSE school by 22 August 2027. Many schools start with the AI Lab and expand to a Composite Skills Lab.
