Not Four Labs.
One STEM Lab That Does Everything.

"A STEM Lab shouldn't be a room full of disconnected gadgets. The Grobots STEM Lab is one integrated space where robotics, electronics, fabrication and design thinking work together — with a curriculum behind every bench."

The broadest of our three labs — a flexible innovation and tinkering space for Grades 6 to 10 (extendable to 12). Where the AI & Robotics Lab goes deep on one discipline, the STEM Lab goes wide: robotics, electronics, IoT, 3D fabrication and design challenges in one structured space.

Built for schools setting up an Atal Tinkering Lab or upgrading under PM SHRI — with the curriculum, training and VMT support that keep it running past Year 1, when most tinkering labs go dark.

Four Zones. One Curriculum.

Each zone is a self-contained learning area with its own equipment and projects — but they share one progression, so a single teacher can run the whole lab.

Built to Fit the ₹20 Lakh ATL Grant.

The Atal Tinkering Lab grant from the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog provides up to ₹20 lakh per school over five years. The Grobots STEM Lab is structured so the equipment, curriculum and training map directly to the grant's establishment and operational heads — and so the lab keeps delivering long after the grant is disbursed.

Indicative ATL grant structure per AIM guidelines. ATL sanction is granted by AIM directly to the school; Grobots supplies the compliant lab, curriculum and training. Eligible schools (Grades 6–12) can also fund a STEM Lab through PM SHRI or CSR.

Mapped to the ATL & NEP Objectives.

The tinkering-lab mandate is about outcomes, not just equipment. Here is how the Grobots STEM Lab delivers against each objective.

Inclusive access regardless of teacher backgroundVirtual Master Trainer guidance in English and Hindi, with more Indian languages rolling out — no specialist hire required

The Honest Question About Every Tinkering Lab.

Most ATL and STEM labs are well-funded and well-stocked — and then sit unused by Year 2 because nobody could teach them. Grobots is engineered around that exact failure point.

🎬
A video for every single project
The Virtual Master Trainer walks the teacher and students through each project step by step — so an existing teacher can run an advanced STEM lab without prior training.
🗣
English & Hindi, more coming
English and Hindi (with more Indian languages rolling out) — built for how Indian schools actually teach, not a translated afterthought.
🏫
Fits your existing room
A STEM Lab can be set up in an existing computer room or a spare classroom. Furniture and dedicated IT are optional modules, not forced costs.
🔁
Designed to compound, not collapse
Year-1 support is included, with an optional Year-2 AMC. The reason schools expand Grobots branch after branch is that the labs keep working.

What You Don't Need to Have

A specialist STEM teacher. Your existing ICT or science teacher can run it with VMT.
A purpose-built room. An existing computer lab or spare classroom works.
Software licences. All coding and design tools are free and open-source.
The full budget upfront. Modular zones let you start core and add as the ATL grant flows.
Prior robotics experience. 650+ teachers started from zero.

Amrit Vidyalay, Kalol
CBSE School · Atal Tinkering Lab · Gujarat

An Atal Tinkering Lab that runs on the school's own teachers — kept active by a grade-wise project curriculum and step-by-step Virtual Master Trainer video.

Amrit Vidyalay set up its Atal Tinkering Lab with Grobots equipment and curriculum — implemented by AVM Infotech. The combination of grade-wise projects and Virtual Master Trainer videos meant the lab ran on the school's own teachers from day one, the single biggest factor in whether an ATL succeeds or stalls.

Questions Principals Ask
Before They Start.

They overlap but differ. A STEM lab is broader than robotics alone — spanning electronics, fabrication, and design — while an Atal Tinkering Lab is a specific ATL / AIM-funded innovation space. The Grobots STEM Lab is built around the ATL framework, so it can serve as your ATL while covering the wider STEM brief.
The Grobots STEM Lab is designed to satisfy the Atal Tinkering Lab equipment and learning framework set by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog. ATL sanction itself is granted by AIM directly to the school. If your school has — or is applying for — the ATL grant (up to ₹20 lakh over five years), it can be used to fund a Grobots STEM Lab, and we help structure the proposal to map to the grant's establishment and operational heads.
The AI & Robotics Lab goes deep on one discipline (AI, robotics, coding for Grades 3–8). The Composite Skills Lab is the CBSE Circular 75/2024 mandatory multi-domain lab, required by 22 August 2027. The STEM Lab is the broadest — a flexible innovation space across robotics, electronics, fabrication and design thinking, best suited to ATL or PM SHRI schools wanting wide STEM exposure. Many schools run more than one.
Yes — this is the whole design intent. The Virtual Master Trainer (vmt.grobotsacademy.com) gives step-by-step video for every project in English and Hindi, with more Indian languages rolling out, plus onsite training. The AVM Infotech team has trained 650+ teachers across India to run hands-on labs with no prior STEM or robotics background.
No. A STEM Lab can be set up in an existing computer room or a spare classroom. Lab furniture, branding and dedicated IT are optional modules — skip them if your space already works. All coding and design software is free and open-source.
Yes. The lab is modular by zone. Many schools begin with the Robotics & Coding core, then add the Electronics & IoT, Fabrication and Innovation zones as the ATL grant is disbursed or budget allows. Your proposal lays out each zone separately so you choose the sequence.
The STEM Lab is a one-time investment for the core, with Year-1 support included. From Year 2, an optional AMC covers repairs, replacements and continued VMT access at school-friendly rates (typically around 20% of equipment cost). Most schools renew, and many expand the lab to additional grades or branches.
